Shelley Penn Architect

Shelley Penn Architect is a Melbourne-based architectural practice with a focus on the design and delivery of finely resolved residential projects, along with the provision of strategic advice to government about the design of the built environment and the importance of design quality in the public realm.  Established in 1993, we are engaged in architectural practice, urbanism, writing and architectural education.

Over the past 20 years, Shelley Penn has worked within the architectural profession for the advancement of architecture through her work and as a member of the Australian Institute of Architects, where she was the 2012 National President, and a National Councillor for 5 years.

The practice is fundamentally driven by and committed to contributing to the quality of the built environment, at small and large scales, through the poetic capacity of high quality architecture and urban design to enrich the human condition.
